Hikikori (the "Platform") takes the protection of your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy describes what personal data we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have regarding your data.

2. What Data We Collect

2.1. Data You Provide Directly

Account: username, email address, avatar, short bio
Profile: geographic location information, viewing history, and anime collections
Content: collection photos you upload, comments, ratings, reviews

2.2. Data Collected Automatically

Analytics: the Platform uses PostHog and Yandex.Metrica to analyze user behavior
- Visit and activity history on the Platform
- IP address
- Device type and browser
- Time and date of access
- Referral source
Server logs: we collect server access logs to ensure security and for diagnostics

2.3. Data From Third Parties

API integrations: the Platform uses third-party APIs (AniLibria, OpenRouter, and others) to provide functionality. When these services are used, only API keys and text requests that contain no personal user information are transmitted.
Email service: to send emails (waitlist confirmation, service and informational notifications) we use the third-party delivery provider Sender.net. Only your email address and the contents of the email are transmitted to it. Emails are sent solely to people who submitted their email address themselves through the form on our website.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use the collected data to:

Provide services: profile operation, collection management, sending notifications
Analytics and improvement: analyzing use of the Platform, optimizing functionality, researching user preferences

Despite the measures we take, complete security on the internet is impossible. We cannot guarantee absolute protection against unauthorized access.

In accordance with the Federal Law on Communications, we retain user access logs, including IP addresses and connection times, for 6 months.

When you delete your account:

Personal profile data is removed from the active database
Uploaded content (photos, comments) is removed from the Platform
Backups are deleted according to our backup retention plan
Access logs are retained as required by law (up to 6 months)

Although the Platform is initially aimed at users from Russia and the CIS, as we expand into EU markets we will ensure compliance with GDPR and other applicable data protection laws.
